III.8 · Conditions

The waters off Miri are quietly some of the most diverse in Malaysia. The continental shelf produces three reasons to dive here: a series of artificial reef wrecks, the offshore Lukonia atoll, and the Atago Maru — a Japanese WWII cargo wreck at thirty-eight metres.

We run trips from Miri seasonally — the visibility window is narrow (April to October) and conditions can shift weekly with the offshore weather. Suited to Advanced and tech divers comfortable with deeper recreational depths.
