Tioman

Tioman is volcanic. The granite pinnacles that ring the island are the eroded plugs of a long-quiet caldera, dropping to forty metres of clear blue water. The reef sharks circle Renggis at dawn. The schooling jacks come through Tiger Reef in late afternoon. The pelagic life passes through and the macro life stays for years. There is enough work here for a lifetime.

We dive Tioman year-round, with peak season from March to October. Crossings from Mersing take roughly two hours by ferry. The island has fifteen kilometres of shoreline, twelve dive operators, and one airstrip that takes propeller flights from Subang.
